The old quarter of Almeria City below the Moorish castle, the Alcazaba, is a maze of narrow streets with attractive old buildings painted in bright colours. Here and in the neighbouring gypsy quarter, La Chanca, there are numerous interesting street scenes which provide colourful compositions for paintings. I think this street is Calle del Plátano but I forgot to check the name. I would like to do a series of paintings around here and La Chanca so I hope there will be some interest in them.
