I painted this lovely garden in the Generalife Palace near the Alhambra, Granada in the summer. It is such an attractive subject that I thought I would return to it to paint in autumn light and colours. The Palace and gardens were built at the beginning of the 14th Century. Situated above the Alhambra Palace and fortifications, the sultans of Granada came to these gardens to relax. They are now a UNESCO world heritage site. The gardens with their ponds, fountains, flowerbeds and the beautiful buildings make a wonderful subject for watercolor painting.
The medium is watercolour
The image size is 350mm x 250mm.
