The church of San Gregorio and the street of the same name in the old quarter, the Albaicin, in Granada. Calle San Gregorio is typical of the narrow, cobbled streets that lead up through the Albaicin from the city centre. Like many of the old churches in Granada, San Gregorio was built in the early part of the XV1 Century on the site of the old mosque. The beautiful buildings are a pleasure to paint and I love this composition.
