Las Salinas de Cabo de Gata
Back to watercolour landscapes. This is a painting of the salt flats of Cabo de Gata in the Parque Natural famous as a bird sanctuary. I first painted here in November 2011. Then I had flamingos in the foreground. I returned in spring last year and this time the birds were avocets. Both these paintings were of the view from the west side of the flats taking in the faro de Cabo de Gata. The originals have been sold. This time I have painted from the north shore and have included the iconic, recently restored church La Iglesia de las Salinas. The birds are cigüeñas (stilts) and I also found the salt works interesting.
The image size is 350mm x 250mm.
The original is for sale for 200 euros.
PRINTS. Superb quality, limited edition (1-100) signed prints on Canson Infinity Arches Aquarelle paper, 310gm, are available for 35 euros and can be purchased direct from me.
