Nuestra Señora de las Angustias
This is a watercolour of the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de las Angustias in the centre of Granada. This lovely, 17th Century church is one of the best examples of Andalucian Baroque architecture. Nuestra Señora de las Angustias is the patron Saint of Granada and on the last Sunday of September her statue is taken from the church and carried in a procession around the city. This scene is best painted in late autumn with its light and shade and the beautiful colours of the trees along the Carrera del Genil.
The image size is 350mm x 250mm.
